Bogdan Solnica
Prof. Bogdan Solnica MD, PhD born 1958, physician, specialist in internal diseases and laboratory diagnostics, head of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the Jagiellonian University Medical College Krakow, Poland. Academic teacher also involved in postgraduate education in the field of laboratory diagnostics. His professional and scientific interests include therapeutic drug monitoring, diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes, clinical biochemistry of dyslipidemia, point-of-care testing (POCT) and issues of informatization of laboratory medicine. Author/co-author of 226 articles (number of citations 2643, Hirsch index 24) and 313 chapters in textbooks and editor/co-editor of 4 textbooks in the field of laboratory medicine. In 2016-2017, a national consultant in the field of laboratory diagnostics. President of the Executive Board of the Polish Society of Laboratory Diagnostics in the years 2010-2017, member of the College of Laboratory Medicine in Poland, member of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine.
